Fashion Sketching with Nicole Lankeu

The Fashion Sketching Program equips aspiring designers with essential skills to create professional fashion illustrations. Combining technical accuracy with artistic expression, it focuses on drawing fundamentals and practical applications.

Nicole Lankeu, an art enthusiast from an early age, earned an Associate Degree in Fashion Design in 2012 from the Institut Supérieur des Beaux-Arts Cheikh Anta Diop (Yaoundé, Cameroon). Recognized as the top national graduate for her exceptional talent, she was immediately recruited by the institute as a fashion drawing instructor, a position she held until 2017.
In 2015, she joined Noubru Holding as a designer for Oridel, a children’s clothing brand, while continuing her teaching career.
After relocating to the United States in 2017, Nicole enhanced her skills in pattern making at the Maryland Center for Fashion Design (Baltimore), where she also worked as an assistant designer.
Nicole developed The Lankeu Canon, an innovative method to simplify and professionalize fashion drawing and graphic art. She is the author of two books: Stick Figures for Women and Men and Curves, Dressed, and Finalized Figures, published by Éditions de Midi.
Currently, she teaches at the Maryland Center for Fashion Design, where she shares practical and efficient methods tailored to the demands of the fashion industry.
